Welcome Home Mouthy!
I hope to go to the convention in the future, it just seems as though something comes up with my husband or our sons. Maybe next year.
I have a lot of people I'd like to see and hug.

would you go back to the dubs for your family ?
do you sometimes feel tired and stressed because your family shunns you so you go back to be with your family ?
personally myself ?
I would only go back for my husband, and while I was there sitting at meetings I would contradict every misrepresentation they preached from the podium.
I would make him too uncomfortable to go.
But I'd do it in a really nice and loving way. If that's possible.
But otherwise, there is no way I'm going to the Kingdumb Hell.

i thought i was pretty much immune to any jws being able to tug at my heartstrings anymore.. mr scully and i were out shopping this morning, when someone called my name and then grabbed me and gave me a big hug.
i hadn't seen her in over 15 years.
back then, she was a teenager and i was about 10 years older than her... but we hit it off really well and mr scully and i became really good friends with her and her parents.
Scully,
I can understand how you are feeling. When I first moved here to Massachusetts some of the only people I knew, and some of the nicest I knew were at the KH.
Even though these people don't keep in touch with our family for obvious reasons, when I have seen them in public they have always been kind and loving. When I have heard about tragic circumstances it always makes me feel so sad and I send a card or note.
They are probably one of the reasons I can't hate the JW's completely.
Hugs to you,
Chrystal
some of you read my post about talking with my mom about the "truth".
i let her have it in a two hour phone call which probably wasn't the best way to reason.
i guess i'm just sick of it all and i harbor so much resentment for this cult as well as my upbringing.
I'm really starting to agree with Garybuss on this.
I used to think if my Mother in law and sister in laws would leave the JW's that we would have a good relationship and everything would be okay. I was in fantasyland.
The fact is my Mother In Law and Sisters In Law have been in a long time, they know the changes in doctrine and the problems in the org, but they choose to belong to this organisation.
They choose it.
Now I know personally how damaging the blood policy can be because I have seen it at work in our life when we had our first son and my husband was in.
But I am not married to my mother in law. I don't have to see her everyday, and its our choice and hers that she is not much a part of our life and our sons' lives.
Now if my husband goes back to the JW's I will fight tooth and nail against his beliefs to my last dying breath, but I am not wasting the small amount of energy I have for people who are happy to believe lies.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Best Regards,
Chrystal
perhaps some of you have seen this on the news.
my son's school has gotten national attention because the ban on tag.
i went to the pto meeting and spoke with the principal.
I just wanted to update everyone who had looked at my post.
Friday the principal at my son's school has decided now to talk to the parents and then make a joint decision about tag or no tag.
And then today, I heard on the local news that tag is back in at the school and I saw my son on TV which was wierd, but I suppose I should be thankful that it was for something like this and not on America's Most Wanted.
It's just crazy to me that so many people got upset, I mean angry death threat upset about this tag issue...but they aren't upset that the school hasn't met the learning requirements mandated by No Child Left Behind.
So they want the kids to play tag, but they don't care if they can do math or read.
Oh well.

Chrystal

Our elementary school banned dodge ball a few years ago and reads story books about people having two mom's and two dad's.
I don't have a problem doing that, if there was a child with 2 mom's and 2 dad's (gay) in a class, but they just decided to do it for no reason.
I know I am in Massachusetts, but it just seems surreal. When I moved here, people thought I was a hippie because I was raised in California...but I don't think we'd do this stuff California - they do other stuff to mess up the kids...LOL!

Perhaps some of you have seen this on the news. My son's school has gotten national attention because the ban on tag. I went to the PTO meeting and spoke with the principal. This has been a rule for 10 years, but since she is the new Principal she decided to enforce it this year.
I do not agree with this particular ban. The school is 4 stories high and the stairs are very steep, I'd rather they ban stairs or shoe laces since all the kids can't tie their shoes and get hurt a lot more from those things.
We had reporters trying to gain entry into the school and just walking up to kids in unmarked vans asking them questions as they were trying to walk home. I have a lower opinion of the press now. Obviously none of them have kids.
Also, my son's school is the poorest in the city. We have a 70% poor kid, 30% rich kid ratio. I am on the committee to raise $35,000 to build a new non decrepit playground...can we get attention for this...nope...but we are getting plenty of attention for "No Tag"

i frequent another forum for honda gold wing riders.
when i read there i get irritated by the posts asking for prayers.
either someone or his friend or family has crashed or is sick.
Completely off subject..
My parents are a part of the Gold Wing association in California too.
It's a very mixed group of people, I have liked most of the people I have met very much.

hi guys,.
sorry to burden you all with this but i really have no one that i want to talk about this with, i'm afraid that i will burst into tears and wont be able to stop if i call any of my friends and tell them what's going on.
my little sister has been ill with a fever for three weeks, her doctor kept telling her it was just a bad case of the flu and that she had an ear infection, he gave her antibiotics and sent her home.
Sorry about the last empty post...
I'm sending thoughts and healing prayers your way for your sister.
Please also take care of yourself so you don't get ill from going in and out of the hospital. Wash your hands a lot and take extra vitamin C so you can keep healthy!
Big hugs,
Chrystal
